How to add your Twitter feed to your website

There are lots of ways to incorporate your Twitter feed into your website or blog, but here are the basic steps using the Twitter widget tool inside your Twitter account.

  • Go to Settings
  • Look below the More Information URL box that contains your website link
  • Click the sentence underneath that says You can add Twitter to your site here
  • Choose My Website
  • Choose Profile Widget
  • On this screen you will have four choices
    • Settings (your user name there)
    • Preferences (choose how many tweets to show and other details)
    • Appearance (you can tweak the HEX colors to match your site)
    • Dimensions (control how large you want the widget to be)
  • Click the “Test Settings” button at the bottom to see how your widget will look.
  • After you have updated the settings click the “Finish and Grab Code” button at the bottom of the page and you will receive a code snippet that you can copy and paste into your website.
  • That’s it!

Happy tweeting.

Excellent, Beth. Very easy to follow. Just need to learn how to change the colors.

Thanks, Daezy, glad it worked for you. Here is a link to a hex color chart tool, this might help with color? Best to you!
